ERMA — Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum Director, Joseph E. Salvatore, and the museum’s Board of Directors announced the promotion of Bruce A. Fournier to the position of museum deputy director.
Fournier is a life-long resident of Cape May County and has been employed by NAS Wildwood Aviation Museum since April of 2009 serving as museum educator.
As deputy director, Fournier will take on a management role in overall museum operations while also holding his former responsibilities for educational programming, the annual Historic Lecture Series, AirFest and the museum newsletter.
He holds a B.A. in History from Youngstown State University, attended classes at the La Salle University Non Profit Center and has 23 years of retail experience here in Cape May County. Fournier is also an active volunteer for Lower Township Little League.
Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum is located in Historic Hangar No. 1 at the Cape May Airport.
Cape May Airport was formerly Naval Air Station Wildwood, which served as a World War II dive-bomber training center. The museum is dedicated to the 42 airmen who perished while training at Naval Air Station Wildwood between 1943 and 1945.
