Forrest in Three-Way Tie for Teacher of Year

MAYS LANDING — The Atlantic Cape Community College Teacher of the Year vote resulted in a three-way tie this year. Atlantic Cape students chose professors Keith Forrest, William Osler and Jay Peterson as part of the Student Government Association election ballot in March.
Assistant Professor of Communication Keith Forrest, of Collingswood, is a doctoral candidate at the University of Massachusetts, where he also earned an M.A. in Political Science and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies; he has an M.A. in Communications from Temple University; and earned a B.A. in Communication from Rowan University.
Forrest has been with Atlantic Cape since fall 2004 and helped launch the Communication degree option. He writes the Joyride III column for this newspaper.
Assistant Professor of Mathematics William Osler, of Deptford, received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mathematics from Rowan University. Osler has been teaching at Atlantic Cape since fall 2008.
Assistant Professor of English Jay Peterson, of Howell, has an M.A. in English from the University of Cincinnati and earned a B.A. in English and philosophy from Rutgers University. Peterson began teaching at Atlantic Cape more than five years ago.
Forrest, Osler and Peterson will be honored for this achievement at the annual SGA Banquet, April 16.
