For MVP Sports Owner, Dream Becomes Reality

By Herald Staff

NORTH CAPE MAY — Sandra Harron had a dream to one day open up her own business. She waited tables for years at Rio Grande Diner, but could never get the dream out of her mind. She just wasn’t sure what business to start, according to a release.
A busy family life with lots of kids’ activities keep her busy. All six of Harron’s children are very active in sports, and every year they need new clothes and equipment.
Struggling to find everything they would need, it amazed Harron “that there wasn’t a really great fully equipped sporting goods store in her area,” the release stated.
Then a light bulb went off, and she knew what her business should be. She loved sports, she loved kids’ sports, she recognized a need, and off she went.
On June 13, MVP Sports opened for business at 3305 Bayshore Road, and her dream became a reality.
Harron offers “the area’s widest selection of affordable sports equipment and apparel. She’s got it all…baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer, lacrosse, plus uniform printing…and more,” the release stated.
She is willing to open the store either very late or early for special events, just call in advance.
