CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE—The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Legislative Update sponsored by Comcast on Thursday, Aug. 16 at Icona Avalon with Assemblymen Bob Andrzejcak and Bruce Land. In addition to representing the 2nd Legislative District of New Jersey, Assemblyman Andrzejcak is Chairman of the Assembly Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, and Assemblyman Land is Vice Chair of the Tourism, Gaming and Arts Committee.
The County Chamber is well known for its business advocacy and leadership when it comes to legislative engagement. “We look forward to hearing from our State Assemblymen on legislative issues that directly impact our business community,” reported Vicki Clark, President of the County Chamber. “A few of the Chamber’s primary advocacy issues this year have been to block offshore oil drilling and seismic testing in the Atlantic Ocean, legislation to bolster business expansion at the Cape May County and Woodbine Airports which now sits on the Governor’s desk, and supporting a full interchange at exit 20. We continue to work on long-time priorities like the protection of the J1 Visa Summer Work Travel Program and continued funding for tourism and beach replenishment – all critical to our tourism driven economy.”
Prepaid registration is available online for this lunch meeting which begins with an 11:30 a.m. check in. Icona Avalon is located at 7849 Dune Dr. in Avalon. Visit www.capemaycountychamber.com to register.
