CAPE MAY – The Cape May – Lewes Ferry is your ticket to yuletide cheer! On Dec. 1, the Ferry has partnered with the Lewes Historical Society to offer a Christmas Tour of Lewes package, which features a self-guided tour that gives the Lewes Historical Society a chance to show off its many historic houses decorated for the season. In addition, the tour also includes several private homes that are open for a visit, bringing even more Yuletide cheer to the quaint town on the bay. The tour is one day only from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
“As you walk through historic homes decorated with simple Christmas greens, the tour gives you a glimpse of what Lewes was like many years ago,” said Charisse Rudolph, customer service manager for the Cape May – Lewes Ferry. “The tour will definitely get you into the Christmas spirit.”
“We’re pleased to be able to partner with the Cape May – Lewes Ferry to offer the tour to our friends in New Jersey,” said Michael DiPaolo, Executive Director of the Lewes Historical Society. “I want to thank our volunteers and local homeowners who put a lot of effort to make the Christmas Tour a premier event for the City of Lewes.”
