CAPE MAY – Looking for a ghoulish good time? Climb aboard the Cape May-Lewes Ferry for an afternoon of fun and fright! On Oct. 27 and Oct. 28, the ferry is hosting its first ever Halloween Trick or Treat Cruise. Complete with trick-or-treating, ghost stories, and costume contest, this three hour round-trip excursion is packed with all the Halloween favorites.
Dress up in your favorite costume and trick-or-treat on the vessel. Fill your bag with delicious Halloween treats to enjoy in the salon where a storyteller from the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities will entertain you with haunted tales of ghosts and ghouls.
Don’t forget to enter the Trick or Treat Cruise costume contest for a chance to be chosen a winner by our fans on Facebook. Please register for the costume contest at the ticket counter before boarding the vessel. The crew has even created a pet category! Food will be available for purchase during the crossing and a cash bar will be available in the lounge.
“The Halloween Trick or Treat Cruise puts a unique spin on the typical Halloween tradition,” said Charisse Rudolph, customer service manager. “It provides a new and exciting way to enjoy Halloween that is fun for the whole family.”
New Jersey foot passengers will depart from the Cape May Terminal at 11:00 a.m. and return at approximately 2:30 p.m. while Delaware foot passengers will depart from the Lewes Terminal at 12:45 p.m. and return at approximately 4:15 p.m.
Round-trip foot passage tickets cost $18.00 for guests 14 years of age and older; $9.00 for those between the ages of 6-13, and free for children ages 5 and under. Due to limited capacity and expected popularity of the event, reservations are recommended. To reserve tickets call our Guest Services Department at 1-800-64 FERRY (800.643.3779).
