Fast Track to Health Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine is proud to announce its recent grand opening and introduction as one of Cape May County’s leading holistic healthcare authorities. Since opening its doors in early January, Fast Track to Health has treated an increasing number of patients and has effectively relieved a number of chronic pain issues. This early success can be attributed to the practice’s passionate owner, resident acupuncturist, holistic health coach and functional medicine practitioner Stephanie Iannarone.
Iannarone began her career in the holistic health field over fifteen years ago after battling health concerns of her own. After nutritional modifications and acupuncture effectively treated a personal pain issue, she was inspired to explore the depths of natural health. Stephanie attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and began her career as a Certified Holistic Health Coach. Later, wanting to take her training to another level, she studied Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and received her Masters degree from Tristate College of Acupuncture in New York City.
One of the planet’s oldest forms of healing, acupuncture can treat an astonishingly wide variety of health concerns including digestive disorders, anxiety, allergies, cardiovascular issues, addictions, and even infertility. At Fast Track to Health, acupuncture treatment is offered in two primary settings – privately and in a group setting referred to as “community”.
In the community setting, patients are treated simultaneously in a large room characterized by soothing surroundings, each in a personal lounge chair. Community acupuncture is the most commonly practiced form of this treatment in Asia, its land of origin, and is an affordable option that allows patients who may not be covered by insurance to receive treatment frequently. It is important to note that Iannarone practices the Dr. Richard Tan Balance Method, through which patients can be treated entirely through the arms and legs. This does not require them to lay facedown or remove clothing, making the community setting that much more comfortable.
Fast Track to Health offers free consultations for all those interested in learning more about the practice’s available treatments. From there, an in-depth evaluation can be scheduled during which Iannarone familiarizes herself with a new patient’s entire health history. “I ask a number of questions, do a Chinese evaluation, observe the pulse and tongue, and ultimately figure out where the needles need to go in order to provide relief, ” she explains.
Stephanie’s holistic approach also extends into her professional practice of functional medicine. This is one of medicine’s newer forms and is best described as “seeking to put out the fire instead of just fanning the smoke,” as she puts it. Such treatment is accomplished by close evaluation of medical history, a comprehensive collection of laboratory tests, nutrition, supplements, and finally lifestyle modifications.
In order to further educate the Cape May County community on the health benefits of such holistic treatment, Iannarone and Fast Track to Health will host an Open House event on Saturday, March 22 from 1-5 PM and Sunday, March 23 from 12 to 4 PM. Meet the staff, enjoy healthy snacks and refreshments, and sit for a free chair massage. All Open House attendees will receive a 50% off coupon for initial treatment and be entered into the Grand Prize drawing for a $500 complete wellness package.
