COURT HOUSE – The Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is pleased to announce that the EtCetera Shop located on the Medical Center campus has relocated to the Acme Shopping Plaza in Cape May Court House, effective Nov. 29, 2013.
“We are excited about the relocation of the Court House EtCetera Shop as it is more centrally-located and offers our shoppers almost twice as much space,” stated Annette Scully, EtCetera Shop Manager. “The new store will be filled with a wonderful variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and a large assortment of household items. The shop is prepared to offer great items for all our customers.”
The original EtCetera Shop, located on the Medical Center campus in Cape May Court House has been the “go-to” thrift store in Cape May County for over 45 years and is one of the largest fundraising sources for the Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. A second store in North Cape May store opened during September, 2012 and serves Lower Township and the surrounding communities. All proceeds from sales will benefit the Thomas & Claire Brodesser Jr. Cancer Center at Cape Regional Medical Center. “Our Auxiliary has recently made a $1.0 million pledge to support the Brodesser Cancer Center,” stated Anne Burrows, Auxiliary President.
The EtCetera Shop is accepting donations of gently-used items at both the North Cape May and Cape May Court House stores. The new Cape May Court House store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; the store can be reached by calling 609-465-5553. The North Cape May store’s winter hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; the store can be reached by calling 609-846-7643.
The Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary has a very proud history. In 1951, a group of women gathered together to raise funds that would help build the Medical Center. Women and men throughout Cape May County united to continue their financial support for expanded healthcare services, and thus the current Auxiliary was created. Now with four branches, (geographically based), activities sponsored by the Auxiliary Board include operation of the EtCetera Shops. All branches assist board-sponsored fundraising projects as well as conduct special projects of their own. All monies raised by the Auxiliary are presented to the Medical Center for designated projects.
