COURT HOUSE – The first anniversary of the Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary North Cape May EtCetera Shop grand opening will be celebrated on Oct. 11, 2013 with an open house and store-wide sale. The shop is the second thrift store opened by the Auxiliary, with the flagship location in Cape May Court House on the grounds of the Medical Center. On Oct. 11, shoppers will receive a 15% discount on all merchandise.
The North Cape May EtCetera Shop is located in the Bayshore Mall, just steps away from the ACME Market. After the initial opening in October, 2012, the shop was expanded in size to accommodate the large volume of shoppers. The EtCetera Shop in North Cape May is open seven days a week and is supported by staff and volunteers throughout the week. “The energized dedication of our staff and volunteers lends itself to an environment for success,” stated Annette Scully, EtCetera Shop Manager. “Our customers have offered so much positive feedback about the quality and pricing of our merchandise.”
All proceeds raised by the Auxiliary EtCetera Shops are presented to Cape Regional Medical Center for designated projects. The Auxiliary’s past generous contributions have provided financial support for a hospital heliport, Cancer Center van, Early Education Center as well as Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit renovations.
“Our next major donation of $1.0 million has been designated to the Thomas & Claire Brodesser Cancer Center Capital Campaign and the purchase of the Varian TrueBeam, providing our cancer patients at Cape Regional Medical Center with the most advanced radiation therapy treatment right here in Cape May County,” stated Anne Burrows, Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary President. “We are grateful to the community for their continued support and look forward to further strengthening our ties in the future.”
The Varian TrueBeam at Cape Regional’s Brodesser Cancer Center was installed in April, 2012, and is now treating prostate cancer in five visits versus the standard 40 visits and certain lung cancers in three visits versus the standard 35 visits.
