Downtown Wildwood Experiences a Wave of New Businesses, Expansions & Events

By Press Release

WILDWOOD – A number of new businesses are opening their doors in Downtown Wildwood this spring, recognizing that the ongoing revitalization efforts put largely in place by The Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID) over the last 48 months are exactly what the district needs to bring more visitors to the area to shop, dine and “Doo Wildwood!”
A retail renaissance in the Wildwoods’ Downtown shopping district in the way of cool new streetscape with loads of curb appeal – including new banners, curbs, neon signs, streetscapes, decorative lighting, additional street furnishings and eye-catching directional signs – is attracting more than the eye to Pacific Avenue.
Located from Cresse Avenue to 26th Street, Downtown Wildwood is comprised of 26 blocks of eateries, unique shops, bars, hotels/motels and fun things to do and see.
The WBID is also working with city officials and business owners to plan number of special events with block-party appeal to further enhance the “new” Downtown Wildwood experience. like the recent, hugely successful St. Patty’s Day Irish Festival and the upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebration.
The WBID, formed in 2004, is comprised of businesses and professionals, who, together, enhance, showcase and share the Wildwood Business Improvement District. A non-profit corporation, the WBID oversees specific aspects of the district including: special events, entertainment, advertising and funding capital projects. This partnership and the community provide a forum for business owners to meet and collaborate.
