Curtis and Joyce Palmer, longtime summer residents and now year round residents of Sea Isle, would like to thank the visitors and year-rounders of Cape May County for making their inaugural year a wonderful success.
Since opening the doors last summer, Dough Boys has added several more dessert options including bread pudding, made from their scrumptious sticky buns, and the cheese pie, a new take on the old classic cheesecake, featuring fruit on the bottom. Pineapple, cherry, and strawberry are just a few of the fruit choices available.
Looking for more than just baked goods? Dough Boys has ventured beyond baked goods to now include several lunch take-out options such as burgers and cheese steaks. Sink your teeth into any one of their beef, chicken, pepperoni and provolone, or bacon cheese steaks, and you are sure to be satisfied.
You will find it hard to make your selections when you walk through the door of Dough Boys starting with the artisan breads such as green olive, eight oats; Mexican Bolillo rolls (bow-lee-yoh) in white and wheat; and white, wheat, rye (seeded and unseeded), and pumpernickel breads, all of which can be sliced for you upon request.
Are bagels more your style? Eleven different varieties are available asiago cheese, honey wheat, onion, sesame, poppy, cinnamon raisin, blueberry, plain, and everything.
Don’t forget or add a few of their muffins to the morning list as there are five different types of muffins to savor. Be sure to try the carrot cake with cream cheese icing.
There’s also fried donuts, filled donuts (their crème-filled donut is a favorite of many in the know), sticky buns (with and without nuts and raisins, Danishes, crumb cake, fritters, croissants, turnovers, pepperoni breads, and much more.
It is obvious that Dough Boy’s has a very expansive menu, and it will be impossible to not find something you enjoy.
Pair your breakfast goodie or lunch selection with a cup of Green Mountain Coffee, brewed fresh and available in many flavors. Relax inside the bakery at one of their high top tables and catch the morning or midday news or, sit outside on their patio with your laptop reading up on one of your favorite topics with their free Wi-Fi service.
Dough Boys is located at 527 Sea Isle Boulevard in Ocean View and is open seven days a week Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
