Danielle Nollett Named Avalon Deputy Municipal Clerk

AVALON — The Avalon Borough Council approved Danielle Nollett to serve the community as the Deputy Municipal Clerk. Council voted 5-0 to approve Nollett to the position during its meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
“We are thrilled to welcome Danielle to the Borough, and we are sure she will do an outstanding job,” said Avalon Council President Dick Dean. “Danielle is fully certified and will help the Borough fulfill all of the functions of the municipal clerk’s office.”
Nollett previously worked for the City of Millville in the Clerk’s office where she was employed for 10 years. Her duties included assembling agendas and agenda packets; maintaining the records inventory; training department heads and designees in various computer systems; assisting with various licenses, permits and municipal elections; and issuing birth and marriage certificates. Nollett received her certification as a Certified Municipal Registrar in December 2010 and as a Registered Municipal Clerk in October 2012. Her duties also included assisting in the personnel and payroll offices.
Nollett is a 2007 graduate of Millville High School where she graduated in the top 10 percent of her class. She is a resident of Dorchester. Nollett will work under the direction of Avalon Municipal Clerk Marie Hood, and replaces Denise Rech who retired in January 2016. Her first day of service in Avalon will be Monday, Feb. 29, 2016.
