COURT HOUSE — At the Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary’s annual meeting held on Nov. 4, Lynne Krukosky, auxiliary president presented CEO Joanne Carrocino, of Cape Regional Medical Center with a $500,000 check in support of the Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) renovations.
“On behalf of the four branches of the auxiliary, we are pleased to present you with this check for $500,000. The members of the auxiliary continue to work hard on many fund-raising projects to support the ICU Renovation Project,” stated Krukosky. “The entire Auxiliary is thrilled to be a part of this exciting project. We look forward to continuing our work as we press towards our $1 million goal.”
The Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary announced their pledge of $1 million towards the renovation of the project in June, 2009 and made their first pledge payment of $100,000 in November 2009. The renovation project is currently underway and the new ICU will be operational in 2011.
