SWAINTON — Wondering what to do for family entertainment after the beach charm is gone?
Consider the Cape May County Park and Zoo, easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway and Route 9, the forested parkland offers walking and bike trails, serene places to wander and the Hummingbird Express that takes the kiddies around the park.
After the train ride, enter the gates of the famous Cape May County Zoo. There visitors will find an array of animals from American Bison and bears to a lion, tiger, and an assortment of African fauna, like giraffes and zebras.
The zoo is free, and donations are accepted. There is a gift shop and snack stands for those who need a bit of refreshment after all that excitement.
