County Chamber to Host Secretary Tahesha Way at May 17 Lunch

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce monthly business meeting will be held on May 17 at The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor with special guest speaker Secretary of State Tahesha Way.

“The Cape May County Chamber is proud to have Secretary Way join our meeting as we prepare for the Memorial Day Weekend Summer of 2018 Kick Off,” announced Vicki Clark, President of the Chamber.

The New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism released the 2017 Tourism Economic Impact Report on April 30 announcing that tourism in the state grew 2.9 percent accounting for $45.4 billion sustaining nearly 523,300 jobs statewide.

Cape May County is a major contributor to the state’s overall tourism economy.

“The tireless work of the tourism professionals in Cape May County is an inspiration for us all. Recent tourism economic numbers reveal direct sales in Cape May County grew to $6.3 billion in 2017. The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce continues to be a vital partner of ours in promoting New Jersey as a premier travel destination,” said Secretary of State Tahesha Way.

Pre-paid reservations are required and can be made online at www.CapeMayCountyChamber.com. The lunch meeting begins at 12 noon with check-in starting at 11:30 a.m.  The Reeds at Shelter Haven is located at 9601 Third Ave. in Stone Harbor and offers valet parking along with street parking. Attendees are reminded that parking meters are in operation.
