COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce kicked off the 10th Annual Shop Local in Cape May County campaign on Nov. 15 with “Keep the Cheer Here” contest for shoppers.
To encourage more shopping in Cape May County this time of year, the Chamber will host a contest for shoppers from Nov. 15 to Dec. 15. Participating stores will have signs and registration forms for shoppers to enter. The only qualification for shoppers is that they must make a purchase in order to enter the contest. The contest winner will receive a $500 prize of gift cards for more Cape May County shopping.
Research shows that local businesses return 68% of revenue back to the community. “Local businesses support community groups throughout the year and deserve our business as a thank you, especially at this time of year. Supporting local business keeps our friends and neighbors employed during this quieter time of the year”, reported Vicki Clark, President of the Chamber.
