County Chamber Sets Business Meeting May19

COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly business meeting Thurs., May 19 at Bobby Dee’s Rock N’ Chair, Avalon with guest speaker Linda Kellner, acting executive director of the New Jersey Business Action Center.
The Business Action Center (BAC) is a division within the New Jersey Department of State, led by Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno. As a member of the DOS senior leadership team, Kellner executed the BAC creation and opening, bringing together all of New Jersey’s economic development efforts under one roof. The BAC is now the state’s “one-stop” shop and is responsible for attracting, retaining and growing businesses in New Jersey.
In addition to the program, the chamber will recognize eight members on the occasion of their 25th Anniversary of Members in county’s largest business organization. This year’s honorees are Avalon Campground, Cape May County Mosquito Extermination Commission, Hoys 5 & 10, Kings Inn Motel, Parkway Veterinary Hospital, Rio Station, South Jersey Adjustment Bureau, and Tracey, Heun Brennan & Company.
Check-in and networking begin at 11:30 a.m. with the lunch program starting at noon. Bobby Dee’s Rock N’ Chair is located at 2409 Dune Drive, in Avalon. The cost to attend is $22 per person before Mon., May 16 and $30 after the 16th. Pre-registration is required.
