COURT HOUSE — The Greater Atlantic City Chamber and the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will present an Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board (WIB) breakfast forum entitled “Finding and Funding Talent for your Company.” The event will take place at Harbor Pines Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township Feb. 12, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The program will enable area employers to learn more about services and incentives from the WIB, including a discussion of incentives and grants whereby employers can find out how to qualify for $4000 – $10,000 wage reimbursement, as well as other tax credits and training grants. It will also outline WIB recruitment services by informing employers how to take advantage of WIB job listing services, applicant pre-screening, helpful interview services and more business resources.
The program will also feature a regional economic outlook from Dr. Richard Perniciaro of Atlantic Cape Community College and a testimonials from local businesses that have utilized WIB’s programs and services.

The Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board maintains partnerships between the public and private sector to develop policies and evaluate the readiness, at the county level to deliver a workforce prepared for employment in today’s evolving economy.
The WIB has established partnerships with local businesses, community and faith based organizations, educational institutions and government agencies to plan for a seamless system of services that benefit residents and the business community. Furthermore, the Board is tasked with building an extensive network of private and public sector partners to increase business participation in the workforce system, while fostering an environment for provider collaboration and partnerships.
The WIB received a first place Recognition of Excellence Award from the United States Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration for innovation in the operation of at-risk youth programs, a Corporate Partnership Award from the Garden State Employment and Training Association and a Theodore E. Small Workforce Partnership Award, presented by the National Association of Workforce Boards for its leadership, innovative approaches and financial support of workforce development programs.
