County Chamber Announces Award Winners

COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will present the organization’s 2010 awards at the 66th annual meeting and installation dinner on Oct. 7 at The Grand Hotel of Cape May.
“It is with great pleasure that we announce our 2010 winners for outstanding contributions to the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce,” reported Chamber President, Vicki Clark.
The nine winners include: Member of the Year – Atlantic City Electric; Volunteer of the Year – Ronnie Town, Atlantic City Electric; Volunteer of the Year – Janet Buchanin, 1st Bank of Sea Isle City; New Member “Rookie” of the Year – Advanced Chiropractic; New Member “Rookie” of the Year – Formica Bros. Bakery; Committee of the Year – Ambassadors; Director’s Service Award – Janet Buchanin, 1st Bank of Sea Isle City; Director’s Service Award – Joanne Carrocino, Cape Regional Medical Center; and Social Media for Business Marketing – Natali Vineyards.
Award winners for outstanding contributions to Cape May County include: Cape May County Betterment Award – Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 955 for the Wildwood Remembrance Wall; Historic Preservation – Borough of Wildwood Crest for The First Hundred Years…1910-2010 Centennial Pictorial History of Wildwood Crest.
Out of a total of 46 nominees, the Chamber is announcing the 44th annual beautification awards to the 11 winners as follows: New Business Development – The Morey Organization; Community Development – The Borough of Wildwood Crest; New Construction (Business) – Diamond’s Liquor Store; New Construction (Non-Profit) – Cape May County Park and Zoo Bald Eagle Exhibit; Renovation – Cape Winds Florist; Renovation – Tisha’s Fine Dining; Renovation – Diving Horse & Avalon Hardware; Landscaping (Business) – Green Holly Camping Resort; Landscaping (Non-Profit) – The Borough of Stone Harbor; Signage – Miss Demeanor; and Special Projects – Ocean City Community Arts Project.
The 18th annual General Conservation Awards winners are Dan’s Auto Body, EarthTech Contracting, J. Byrne Agency, and Mayor William Pikolycky and the Borough of Woodbine. Cape Regional Medical Center, The Lomax Consulting Group LLC, and New Jersey American Water sponsor the 18th annual General Conservation Awards.
Residents are invited Oct. 7 annual meeting to congratulate and celebrate these businesses, organizations, individuals and municipalities, as they receive a plaque in recognition of their accomplishments.
