COURT HOUSE – The American College of Radiology has awarded a three year accreditation to Cape Regional Medical Center’s Magnetic Resonance Imaging service.
According to a release, that accreditation was in recognition of achieving high practice standards following a peer review evaluation and on-site survey of the service.
Board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field conducted the evaluation. They assessed the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment and quality controls.
“The Department of Diagnostic Imaging is dedicated to achieving the highest standards that are established by the ACR,” stated Joanne Carrocino, president and CEO. “The accreditation is a great achievement and enforces the Medical Center’s mission to provide the highest quality healthcare to the Cape May County community.”
The American College of Radiology is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive healthcare services.
