CMC Chamber Hosts Prosperity Through Diversity Luncheon

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the passing of the Civil Rights Act, The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce hosted a special luncheon, titled “Prosperity Through Diversity”, on Thursday, June 26, at noon at Avalon Links Restaurant at the Avalon Golf Club. John E. Harmon Sr., President and CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey and the recently elected President of the National Black Chamber of Commerce, served as the special guest speaker.
John Harmon has been featured on television and radio and in several publications including the covers of Mercer Business and NJ Biz Magazines. He is the recipient of the New Jersey Transit Outstanding Service Award, the Regional Alliance for Small Contractors “Partnerships That Work” Award, the NAACP Freedom Award for Business, a Humanitarian Award from the National Conference for Community and Justice, and The Leadership Award from 100 Black Men of New Jersey.
The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce thanked all those who joined them for this inspiring lunch seminar on the importance of promoting leadership, education, and inclusion for all business. This event was sponsored in part by Cape Bank and South Jersey Energy.
