OCEAN CITY – The presentation of a check for $2,200 from Henry’s Fine Jewelry, 1236 Boardwalk, to Clean Ocean Action has been rescheduled to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23 at Henry’s boardwalk location in Ocean City. Henry’s has established an ongoing program to support COA with the creation of an Ocean City Beach Bracelet. A percentage of the sales generated by this popular item is donated to the highly regarded environmental organization.
Tory Woods, COA Events Coordinator, will accept the donation. Fred Magnamini of Luca & Danni, designer of the bracelet, and Nina Camburn-Brown of Henry’s will present the check.
Woods will talk about the work of COA and its importance to seaside communities. Clean Ocean Action organizes beach sweeps to rid the shoreline and waters of debris harmful to both humans and wildlife. They sponsor educational programs for adults and youth on the importance of maintaining a healthy environment and much, much more. It just so happens that the weekend of the presentation, Clean Ocean Action will be spearheading a beach clean-up in Ocean City on Saturday, Oct. 24 consisting of community volunteers.
The public and media are invited to attend the event and presentation by Tory Woods to learn more about Clean Ocean Action.
