She stated in a release that Aug. 27 is the deadline for the governor to sign the legislation that would aid high-tech job creation at Cape May County and Woodbine airports.
Clark’s text:
Legislation to spur economic development and high-tech job creation in Cape May County needs your support.
Monday, Aug.27th is the deadline for Gov. Phil Murphy to sign legislation which would extend the state’s Grow New Jersey Assistance Program to businesses located at the Cape May County and Woodbine airports.
The bill, Senate Bill 250 (S-250), would allow eligible businesses located at the airports to receive a base tax credit of $5,000 a year for each job created or retained, making these properties more competitive in attracting new jobs and growing new businesses versus other locations in and out-of-state.
Cape May County is in the process of developing properties at its airports aimed at attracting high-tech, innovative industries to the area which it’s currently lacking, but more than primed to host.
Making these airport properties eligible for the Grow New Jersey program will make them more attractive to cutting-edge industries like those in the drone technology sector which can bring high-paying, year-round jobs that can support not only the airports themselves but their surrounding communities and those other businesses which call them home.
Before Monday, Aug. 27th, please contact the Governor’s Office using the link below to indicate your support for S-250, bringing Grow New Jersey tax credits to Cape May County.
