COURT HOUSE – After an extensive search, the CompleteCare Health Network is proud to announce that Dr. Cheryl Bettigole, MD, MPH, has joined their team as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Bettigole received her doctorate in medicine from Thomas Jefferson University and has a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins. In addition to over 12 years of experience as a Family Practice physician, Dr. Bettigole also brings with her a passion for ensuring that quality, compassionate healthcare is accessible for all who need it.
“CompleteCare impressed me as an organization that does an amazing job of serving many different populations with a full spectrum of medical, dental and behavioral health services,” said Dr. Bettigole. “I’m looking forward to working with them to meet the challenges and opportunities that will arise in the changing healthcare landscape.”
Previous to her arrival at CompleteCare, Dr. Bettigole served as Clinical Director and Consultant for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health where she designed and implemented a pilot chronic disease management project and oversaw an interpreter program that doubled the access for non-English speaking patients. While her career has been focused in Philadelphia, Dr. Bettigole is no stranger to South Jersey or Complete Care’s work. In 1992, she worked for CompleteCare when it was known as Bridgeton Area Health Services. During that time, her efforts in Cumberland County focused on working in migrant camps to ensure that the farmworkers and their families were receiving proper medical care.
“Dr. Bettigole’s background and innovative ideas for improving care for our patients will no doubt make her an invaluable asset,” said Gil Walter, President and CEO of CompleteCare. “We’re so glad to have her on board.”
In addition to her executive role, Dr. Bettigole will see patients at CompleteCare Medical & Dental Professionals in Millville. To schedule an appointment, please call 856-451-4700 or online at www.CompleteCareNJ.org.
