COURT HOUSE — The American Hospital Association (AHA) recently appointed Joanne Carrocino, president & CEO of Cape Regional Medical Center to its Regional Policy Board (RPB).
Currently there are nine RPBs throughout the country that assist the AHA in developing policy and providing input on policy issues to be considered by the AHA Board of Trustees. In addition, the RPB assists in implementing AHA policy and programs, identifying needs unique to the region and developing programs to meet these needs.
“It is a privilege to serve on the American Hospital Association’s Regional Policy Board at this pivotal time when the healthcare industry is going through transformational change,” stated Carrocino. “The goal of the AHA and its Regional Policy Boards is to advance the health of all of its participating hospitals, which is vital during this period of healthcare reform,” she added.
The AHA is a not-for-profit association of health care provider organizations that are committed to the health improvement of their communities. The AHA is the national advocate for its members, which includes over 5,000 hospitals.
