CARA Receives AED Donation

On Aug. 29, the Jennifer Ward Memorial Fund donated an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) device to CARA – The Coalition Against Rape and Abuse. Founded in 2005, the mission of the Jennifer Ward Memorial Fund is to generate increased public support towards helping community and charitable efforts in the South Jersey area by providing Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) and giving CPR and AED training to organizations in need. CARA is Cape May County’s lead domestic violence and sexual assault agency which offers free, confidential, 24-hour services to those seeking help, and relief from domestic violence and sexual assault in Cape May County. According to Gerry Ward, Representative of the Memorial Fund, they have been able to donate over 50 AEDs into the community.
