CAPE MAY – Cape Resorts Group extends its thoughts to Cape May and our region’s residents, as well as Cape Resorts Group staff members, who are still without electricity and dealing with the devastation Hurricane Sandy left behind. In Cape May, we are thankful Congress Hall, The Virginia, the Star Inn and The Sandpiper were relatively unscathed and are open for business.
Cape Resorts Group announced the opening of its properties shortly after electricity was restored. The hotels and inns welcome those guests who are already booked and others, who now following Sandy, are looking for accommodations or just a place to relax, recover and share a cocktail with others who have weathered the storm. Where better to enjoy good food and cocktails with friends and celebrate survival than the delightful Ebbitt Room at The Virginia or the cozy Brown Room and comfortable Blue Pig Tavern at Congress Hall.
“Congress Hall has been Cape May’s living room in good times and bad,” says Curtis Bashaw, Co-Founder, Co-Managing Partner Cape Advisors & Cape Resorts Group. “With Sandy, we acted as a refuge for locals who were not able to evacuate; scores of local, national and international media; and first responders. Now we are pleased to announce all of our properties are open to offer a place to unwind after the storm.”
