Cape Regional’s Diabetes Center Presents ‘Our Diabetes Journey for Parents and Kids’

COURT HOUSE — Cape Regional’s Diabetes Center in Marmora will host “Our Diabetes Journey for Parents and Kids” March 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cape Regional Diabetes Center, 210 South Shore Road, Marmora, NJ. This is a free program; there is no charge to attendees or healthcare providers and no registration is required.
The program is led by Katherine and Patricia who are a trained youth/parent mentoring team for the A1C Champion Diabetes Education Program sponsored by Sanofi U.S. During the free Our Diabetes Journey for Parents and Kids Program, they will share their story of living with Type 1 Diabetes, cover topics relevant for families living with Type 1 Diabetes and lead a discussion with attendees.
“Our Diabetes Journey” is a workshop for youth between the age of 8 and 16 years old who have Type 1 Diabetes and their parents. Katherine and Patricia are a “real” family living with Type 1 Diabetes who understands the many thoughts and feelings associated with this disease.
