COURT HOUSE – For the past 11 years, Cape Regional Foundation and Auxiliary has reached the Cape May County community through their Annual 7 Mile Island Home & Health Show and Designer House Tour – blending two areas that touch the lives of everyone – our home and our health. This year’s event was held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 and raised $60,000 to benefit Cancer Services at Cape Regional Medical Center.
“This year’s event saw record crowds! It was the perfect day to enjoy the beautiful designer homes on 7 Mile Island and to visit all the interesting and interactive exhibits at the Home & Health Show,” stated Ellen Kravet Burke, Event Co-Chair. “A special note of thanks to the Borough of Avalon and the Office of Mayor Martin Pagliughi, the team at Avalon Elementary School and Avalon Community Hall, and Avalon and Stone Harbor Chambers of Commerce for their support and assistance; this is truly a community effort.”
“We would like to acknowledge and thank all of our sponsors, team members, volunteers, exhibitors and medical staff members who participated in this year’s show,” stated Joanne Carrocino, President and CEO, Cape Regional Health System. “The support and partnership of our sponsors enable us to provide hundreds of complimentary health screenings to the community each year. The participation of our team members, physicians, volunteers and exhibitors makes the entire day fun, educational, and inspirational,” Carrocino continued.
This year’s 7 Mile Island Home & Health Show and Designer House Tour were sponsored by Burke Subaru, Cape Bank Foundation, Kravet, Glenn Insurance, Cape Regional Urgent Care, UBS Financial, Sturdy Savings Bank, Radzieta Funeral Home, AE Litho, Marsh and McLennan Agency, Sam’s Club and HGTV Magazine.
