COURT HOUSE — The Cape Regional Medical Center Employee Campaign, chaired by Rosemary Hilvert, MSN, RN, BC, Learning Specialist and Noreen DiPadova, RRT, MHA, Director of Quality and Risk Management, invites team members to financially contribute to projects and capital campaigns at the Medical Center. Each year, the staff overwhelmingly responds to the invitation, and 2015 Campaign is no exception.
“The enormous outpouring of generous pledges and gifts totaled $50,000 from our team members,” added Noreen DiPadova, RRT, MHA, Director of Quality and Risk Management and Foundation Board Member. “We are excited to be part of bringing the TrueBeam Radiation Therapy technology to Cape Regional Medical Center.”
“We are so grateful to all the Medical Center team members for partnering in the success of Cape Regional’s Cancer Center Capital Campaign,” stated Rosemary Hilvert, RN, BSN, Learning Specialist and Foundation Board Member. “The Cape Regional family provides exceptional care, and they are exceptionally generous,” Hilvert concluded.
In response to the staff’s overwhelming financial support, the Foundation dedicated the Exceptional Care, Exceptional People Employee Donor Wall located in the Main Hall of the Medical Center. The name of each team member who partnered in 2014 is included on the wall – we look forward to updating the Wall in 2015 with each donor.
In May, 2012, Cape Regional Medical Center installed the Varian TrueBeam technology at the Thomas and Claire Brodesser, Jr. Cancer Center. TrueBeam is fast and precise, making it possible to deliver highly accurate, image-guided radiosurgery treatments in just a few minutes per day. A complex treatment that typically takes 30-60 minutes can be completed in just 5-20 minutes. This is important, as independent studies have shown that with faster treatments there is less time for tumor and patient movement, resulting in pinpoint accuracy and precision.
