Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation Exceeds $5.0 Million Goal for Thomas and Claire Brodesser, Jr. Cancer Center

COURT HOUSE – Arlene MacDonald, Chairman of the Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation, announced that the Foundation has reached its goal of $5.0 million for the Thomas and Claire Brodesser, Jr. Cancer Center Capital Campaign. “I am happy and proud to announce that the Foundation has not only reached our goal of $5.0 million but has surpassed our goal with over $5.1 million in gifts and pledges,” stated MacDonald. “We are grateful to the thousands of donors who have made our campaign a huge success and to the members of the Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund (RNS) who pledged $100,000 in February to complete this very important campaign.”
Members of the Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund attended the March Foundation Board Meeting and presented Arlene MacDonald, Joanne Carrocino, President and CEO—Cape Regional Medical Center, Tom Piratzky, Foundation Executive Director, and members of the Foundation Board with a pledge of $100,000. “It is our honor and pleasure to present Cape Regional with this pledge of $100,000 to support the outstanding care that you provide to your patients each and every day at the Thomas and Claire Brodesser, Jr. Cancer Center,” stated Joanne Kenny, President, RNS. “Your investment in providing the most- advanced technology in the fight against cancer is making a difference to those undergoing radiation oncology treatments in Cape May County. Thank you for providing this exceptional care.”
Joining Kenny from the Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund was President-elect, Anna Maria Sabatini, and Roe Magliocco, Honoria/Memorial Gifts Officer. RNS has contributed over $500,000 to Cape Regional Medical Center over the past several years. “The members of RNS have been true partners with Cape Regional Medical Center in the fight against cancer,” stated Joanne Carrocino. “This gift marks the third capital campaign to which RNS has made a significant gift in support of our efforts. We value our wonderful relationship and look forward to many more productive years to come.”
