Cape Regional Maternity Department Receives Annual Car Seat Donation

COURT HOUSE – Dianne Day, Extension Officer, Karen Fitzpatrick, and Mary Conley, Treasurer of Xi Beta Pi, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Women’s Group, recently delivered five brand-new car seats to the Maternal and Child Health Department at Cape Regional Medical Center.
“The members of Xi Beta Pi are committed to supporting Cape Regional’s Maternity Department and consider it a privilege to donate car seats each year,” stated Dianne Day. “We want to make sure that every family has a brand new, state-of-the-art car seat to transport their newborn home.”
“Oh behalf of the Cape Regional team and our patients, thank you Xi Beta Pi, for your commitment to the safety of the newborns at Cape Regional Medical Center. As we celebrate the 21st year of your faithful donation, we want to express our gratitude,” stated Mary Beth Decredico, RN, BSN, Administrative Director of Maternal and Child Health Services.”
The Beta Sigma Phi International Women’s Group was created in 1931 and has 165,000 members around the world. Their members raise more than $3 million for local charities and donate over 200,000 volunteer hours in an average year.
