CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – On Tuesday, Jan. 19, Cape Regional Health System celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of their new Advanced ICU Care program which provides around-the-clock monitoring of intensive care patients. Cape Regional Health System has partnered with Advanced ICU Care, the nation’s largest provider of Tele-ICU services, to deliver monitoring by highly-trained intensivist physicians and critical care specialists 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing enhanced quality and patient safety.
“We are very pleased to announce Cape Regional’s partnership with Advanced ICU Care,” stated Deborah Baehser, RN, MSHA, Vice President of Patient Services at Cape Regional Health System. “Advanced ICU Care monitors patients’ clinical data continuously from their central, off-site location and provides in-room video conferencing for patient evaluation or when called upon by a nurse. This video conferencing enables face-to-face consultations between the bedside and the Advanced ICU Care Team.”
“We are excited to partner with Cape Regional Health System and bring our state-of-the-art tele-ICU program to the benefit of Cape Regional’s patients, families and providers,” stated Lou Silverman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced ICU Care. “Our nationwide teams of Intensivists, critical care practitioners and nurses have begun a strong collaboration with Cape Regional’s physicians to care for the Medical Center’s critically ill patients 24/7/365. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
Middle Township Mayor, Michael Clark, “cut the ribbon” on the new program and presented the Intensive Care Team with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Township of Middle. “On behalf of the residents and visitors of Cape May County, I would like to thank Cape Regional Health System for raising the standard of excellence in intensive care,” stated Mayor Clark. “The partnership with Advanced ICU Care brings exciting, cutting–edge technology which provides an extra level of care to the patients you serve.”
