CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – The Middle Township Police Officer’s Association recently held their sixth Annual “Crayons for Cancer” Drive to help bring some much needed items for the children receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Cape Regional Health System participated in the drive and collected 15 cases of crayons, markers, Play-doh, coloring books, colored pencils and small crafts, toys and games.
On Friday, Oct. 9, Christopher M. Leusner, Chief of Police for Middle Township, met with team members from across the Health System to receive all the Crayons for Cancer supplies that were collected. This is the first year Cape Regional Health System participated in the drive.
“On behalf of the patients at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Middle Township Police Officer’s Association, I would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Cape Regional Health System for partnering with us in this great project,” stated Chief Leusner. “Congratulations on a very successful drive!”
