CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — Suzanne M. Walters, former Mayor of the Borough of Stone Harbor, has been named to the Board of Trustees at Cape Regional Health System.
During her 20-year tenure as Mayor, Ms. Walters was named Outstanding Woman in Government by the New Jersey Association of Elected Women Officials and Mayor of the Year by the New Jersey Conference of Mayors; she was also a Cape May County Lincoln Day Honoree.
“We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Walters to the Cape Regional Health System Board of Trustees,” said Joanne Carrocino, FACHE, President and CEO of Cape Regional Health System. “Her strong civil service background and leadership skills will be an asset to our Board as Cape Regional Health System plans for continued growth.”
Prior to serving as Mayor, Ms. Walter served as Account Executive for Sunny Day Guides, General Manager for Bon Jour Imports Corp. and President of the Stone Harbor Board of Education. She graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Ms. Walters, of Stone Harbor, serves as a Board Member for the New Jersey League of Municipalities, the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, the Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation and serves on the Economic Development Committee for the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce.
