CAPE MAY — For the third time in four days, Cape May – Lewes Ferry officials have added departures to the published schedule. Two additional afternoon crossings are now available for Sept. 15, 2013.
Pre-bookings on the departures in the morning and early afternoon of Sept. 15 are nearing capacity. In fact, many of the Lewes departures are nearly sold out. The week’s heavy traffic volume on the Cape May – Lewes Ferry is associated with Delmarva Bike Rally and Ocean City Maryland’s BikeFest, which are happening simultaneously this weekend. Favorable weather conditions are also a factor. Given the pre-booking levels, the Ferry’s Port Captain has added the following afternoon departures:
Cape May, NJ
4:30 p.m.
Lewes, DE
6:15 p.m.
Travelers are urged to call our Guest Services Center at 800 643 3779 or visit our website at www.cmlf.com for updated departure information.
