Cape May Chamber Seeks Meter ‘Angels’

By Al Campbell

CAPE MAY — Greater Cape May Chamber of Commerce wants to show visitors to the seaside city that its members appreciate them choosing that resort as their vacation destination, but the business body needs help.
The chamber is seeking “Cape May Parking Angels” to volunteer two hours, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. of their time to walk around the shopping areas of the city and pay expired parking meters.
Additionally, the chamber is looking for businesses that would like to fund a portion of the program.
Once a meter is filled, a notice will be placed on each car stating that the named business provided that good-will service.
Each notice will cost 75 cents. The chamber seeks a minimum $25 donation be made for each participating business.
Those interested in sponsoring and/or volunteering, should contact Cathy at the Chamber office 609-884-5508.
