Cape May Celebrates October

By Jack Fichter

CAPE MAY – A mild, sunny day under a brilliant blue sky brought a crowd to Jackson Street for Oktoberfest Sat., Oct. 2.
This year’s event presented by the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May featured more food than past years and a German band.
A variety of crafts, T-shirts, cigars, soaps and flowering pots of mums were on sale. A few “Frankensteins” and other ghouls were decorating lampposts.
A beer garden at the Mad Batter was one of the highlights of the event.
