COURT HOUSE — Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey presented home visitor Charline McVey of the Cape May County Healthy Families-TIP program with the “Inspiration Award” at the eighth annual “Strengthening Those Who Touch the Lives of Children” conference on May 6.
his recognition was made in honor of her commitment to providing families with the skills and resources they need to raise happy, healthy, and safe children.
The “Inspiration Award” is given to a home visitor who inspires and motivates others through their positive energy, optimism, and influence.
McVey has served as this inspiration to her community by setting an example as a foster and then adoptive parent. McVey teaches “safe-sitters” classes to teens at a local hospital and serves as a cheerleading coach. She was selected for the award because she consistently models, as a trainer and mentor to new staff, the importance of quality and dedication.
