Sponsors, and more than 160 guests, raised more than $30,000 for Cape Assist, Cape May County’s leading nonprofit organization providing prevention and treatment to those impacted by substance abuse. They participated in the silent auction sales, basket raffles, and other generous donations during the 7th Annual Endless Summer Benefit held Sept. 19, at the Windrift Resort in Avalon.
“This event helps us fulfill our mission of preventing and treating substance abuse and related issues here in Cape May County,” stated Katie Faldetta, executive director. “We’re so thankful to everyone who’s supported us and our growth over the years. We couldn’t do this without their generosity.”
Guests enjoyed dinner and cocktails, and were witness to New Jersey State Sen. Bob Andrzejczak and Assemblyman Bruce Land (both D-1st) presenting Cape Assist with a legislative commendation, recognizing the organization’s work for the community.
Joe Faldetta, Cape Assist’s director of prevention, accepted the award and stated, “We’re honored that Sen. Andrzejczak and Assemblyman Land were able to join us tonight in celebration, and we’re equally honored as an organization to be recognized for our commitment to serving people during turning points in their life and in their recovery.”
The commendation now hangs with pride at the Cape Assist headquarters in Wildwood.
