On Sunday, June 25, Cape Assist President Richard Rutherford hosted the 5th Annual Canal Fest. The event raised $4,000 to support Cape Assist in their efforts to prevent and treat substance abuse in Cape May County. During the event, Freeholder Director Gerald Thornton (left) presented former Executive Director of Cape Assist Lynne Krukosky (right) with a commemorative plaque from the Board of Chosen Freeholders in recognition of her retirement. Lynne has spent 27 years with Cape Assist, and is known for her loving heart and compassion for helping people.
