Burke Subaru Showcases Commitment to Animal Welfare Through ‘Subaru Loves Pets’ Initiative

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) and its retailers are committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy. This month, through the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, team members from Burke Motor Group are supporting the Cape May County Animal Shelter & Adoption Center by collecting basic pet supplies to improve the quality of life for animals staying at the shelter.

“Burke Subaru is so pleased to host this important initiative,” said Francey Burke, program coordinator. “We look forward to presenting the Cape May County Animal Shelter with this collection of needed items which will aid in their mission.”

Burke is collecting the following items now through Oct. 31: Dentley’s Knuckle Bones, prime cuts, peanut butter stuffed bones, Dentley’s Meaty Bones, mammoth bones, KONGs (large breed), large breed Nylabones, collars/leashes, peanut butter, dog toys/treats, dog crates, cat toys, canned cat food, Purina Kitten Chow, dry cat food, pet beds, jarred (meat) baby food, cat litter (clay), scratching posts, carriers, Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner, Lysol Cleaner, OdoBan, paper towels, wash cloths, towels, bleach, dish soap, brooms, mops and gift cards for pet stores. All donations are greatly appreciated!

Calling all pet parents! Bring a donation and be the first to get your paws on the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek dog toy.

“Burke’s participation in Subaru Loves Pets will bring awareness to our shelter and to the plight of homeless companion animals right here in Cape May County,” said Judy Davies-Dunhour, manager of the Cape May County Animal Shelter & Adoption Center. “We truly appreciate their commitment to giving back to the community and are honored to again be a recipient of their generosity and compassion!”

This month-long program is part of the larger Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment effort dedicated to making a positive impact on the world.
