VILLAS – During an Oct. 20 meeting, Councilman Jim Neville, who oversees that ward, said that township resident AJ Stelacio, who also works at Burke Motor Group, was motivated to keep the area clean after spending a lot of time there with his family.
The Adopt-A-Road program encourages volunteers to keep a section of a road free from litter. In exchange for regular litter removal, an organization or business is allowed to have its name posted on a sign in the section of the roadways they maintain.
The company has filled out an application to adopt a portion of Beach Drive, from Townbank Road to Lincoln Boulevard and Gary Douglass, the superintendent of public works, approved the site.
