Since 1992, Brendan’s Fund has eased the financial and emotional strain on local pediatric cancer patients and their families. The community love and support my son, Brendan, and our family received served as the impetus in the creation of The Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund. The essence of the love and support Brendan and our family received has been continued through our efforts to assist other families experiencing the financial and emotional effects of pediatric cancer. Between 1992 and 2015, millions of dollars were distributed directly to local families with a child diagnosed with cancer.
Hopefully, the memories of: Spirit Walk, Golf Tournament, Low Tide Beach Ride, Movie Night, Artist and Friends Art Show, Carpenters Local 255 High Tides Striper Tournament, Soccer Tournament, Turkey Trot, T-shirt sales, and The Brendan Borek High Tides Surf Memorial and Beef & Beer will last a lifetime. In 2015, by establishing the Brendan Borek Endowed Fund at CHOP, we facilitated our desire to continue our mission of assisting Cape May and Atlantic County pediatric cancer patients. Services will be provided by The Child Life Services team at CHOP. Between 2015 and 2019, we have donated over $403,000 to the Brendan Borek Endowed Fund at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. We will make another donation this December. If you would like to donate now, or in the future, contact:

Brendan’s fund will no longer be involved in organizing or hosting any events. The fund’s legacy will live on through the Brendan Borek Endowed Fund at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Anyone interested in organizing and hosting future events, to benefit the Brendan Borek Endowed Fund, at CHOP, can contact the CHOP Foundation to inquire.
Thank you to all who have loved and embraced Brendan and Brendan’s fund. Your generosity has been, and will continue to be, the cornerstone of the Brendan Borek Endowed Fund at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
