Boardwalk Kennel Club Returns to the Wildwoods Convention Center

By Lauren Suit

WILDWOOD – Man’s best friend, of all shapes and sizes, have come to the Wildwoods Convention Center to strut their stuff.
The Boardwalk Kennel Club will be hosting their All Breed Dog Show Thursday, Jan. 29 through Monday, Feb. 2, 2009.
The competitions begin daily at 8 a.m. and various prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Best in Show, Sporting Group, Hound Group, Working Group, Terrier Group, Toy Group, Non-Sporting Group and Herding Group. Multiple judges will determine the winner of each group, and vendors will offer unique merchandise for those looking for something special to pamper their pooch, from collars and leashes to books and training tools, and everything in between.
Last year, more than 1,300 dogs participated in the event, and this year’s show is expected to be even bigger and better. To keep the competitors looking their best, row after row of grooming tables and kennels are in use before the dogs appear in the show ring. This event is entertainment for the entire family and a great way to have fun during the middle of winter! Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $2 for children 12 and under.
The Boardwalk Kennel Club is an AKC All Breed Dog Club located in Atlantic and Cape May County, NJ.
For more photos of this event, see the print edition of the Herald on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
