OCEAN VIEW – The dream of Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School student, Greta Rebecca Kleinman, age 7, was to help children who suffer from various health issues, impact the lives of pediatric patients and give back to their community. Out of this dream, “Bishop’s Got Talent,” a talent show of Bishop McHugh students held on Nov. 9, was hosted just for that purpose.
Last week, the student body and faculty gathered at Bishop McHugh to present a check for $4,281.30 to Tom Piratzky of Cape Regional Foundation. Plus, an anonymous donor made a contribution to round the proceeds to an amazing $4,500.
“During the holiday season, it is incredible to see fifth to eighth grade students work so hard to meet the needs of their peers and community,” stated Tom Piratzky, Executive Director, Cape Regional Foundation. “We are so grateful to Principal Tom McGuire, the faculty, student CARES ambassadors and everyone who participated in this fun night. It truly was a community effort!” All proceeds from Bishop’s Got Talent will benefit the Pediatric Program at Cape Regional Medical Center.
