Scott and Michelle Chambers celebrated the Grand Opening of their new business, Zippy’s Bike Exchange, on Wednesday, March 28 at 11 a.m.
Zippy’s is located at 4203 Pacific Ave. right in the heart of downtown Wildwood and is only a few short minutes from no matter where you are on the island.
Together, the owners, along with manager Sean McNamee, have over 30 years’ experience in the seasonal apartment rental business leading to the observation that so many on the island were in desperate need for an inexpensive long-term bike rental shop.
Zippy’s offers hundreds of name brand bikes, such as: Schwinn, Raleigh, Mongoose, Huffy, Sun and many more in a wide variety of styles from BMX to cruisers, mountain bikes, and specialty bikes.
You can rest assure that no two bikes are the same at Zippy’s, and that there are bikes that will fit everyone in your family from ages five and up.
They carry all the accessories that you could want or need to make your ride an enjoyable one, from locks, baskets, horns, cup holders, and seats, to helmets, tires, and hand grips.
There is additional inventory that isn’t in their store; just ask and they’ll be happy to show you! Also, if there is something you need that Zippy’s doesn’t have, they will be happy to get it for you.
Zippy’s has each and every customer covered from A to Z no matter whether you’ll be buying, renting for a week or two, or for an entire summer season.
Scott and Michelle know that prices can make or break a sale, so they carry bikes priced as low as $25, which fits in every budget .They also offer a “Buy Back Program” that if you purchase a bike priced at $50 or more from them they will take it off of your hands when you are finished riding.
If you and your family are coming down for a week or maybe a two-week vacation, sell them each person’s bike back within 15 days of your original purchase and they will put up to 50 percent of the sale price right back in your pocket!
This beats having to buy a bike rack, gives you better gas mileage, and saves you the added aggravation of bringing your bikes back and forth from home.
If you plan to stay at the shore for an entire season or use it for work transportation all summer, simply sell them your Zippy’s bike back after using it for 16 to 100 days and they will pay you back up to 20 percent of the original sale price.
Not a bad deal — you get transportation all summer long, you won’t have to worry about how you’ll get the bike home, and get some of your cash back! Reimbursement percentage is based on the condition of the returned bike, and you must have your original receipt, so make sure that you save it!
Zippy’s Bike Exchange is a locally owned and operated business and offers affordability, convenience, variety, and flexibility from a staff that is fast and friendly.
Ask them about delivery, repairs, and trade-ins. Have additional questions? We’re just a phone call away at (609) 408-8956.
