Event kicks off second season of providing dream vacations to families with special needs
Beachview Dreams is a cozy beach house – a home away from home – located in Ocean City, NJ that has been modified for ease of wheelchair access. We provide families with a loved one who has physical or medical disabilities, as well as limited resources for vacationing, a free one week “dream vacation.”
Beachview Dreams was purchased in 2015 and our first 10 Dream Families vacationed at this special home last summer. We’re excited to announce that the house is now complete with an electric wheelchair lift on the front porch and is ready for our 12 new families this summer!
On Sunday, May 15 at noon, you can visit the Beachview Dreams House during the ribbon cutting and open house. See the ADA accessible first floor and new electric wheelchair lift, learn about Beachview Dreams’ mission and talk to former guests about their vacation and its impact.
The ribbon cutting will take place at 12:15 p.m., and the open house will be from noon to 3 p.m.

When a loved one has a disability, they and their whole family experience physical, emotional and financial strain related to ongoing care. Lack of accessible accommodations and limited resources may make it difficult or impossible for the family to get away. Vacation is something they may only dream about.
Our Non-profit Friends:
We have teamed up with non-profit entities such as The Children’s Therapy Center, Cancertacular, For Pete’s Sake and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia who have all referred Dream Families to us.
Beachview Dreams has three separate units located just one block from the beach:
• The first floor is a three-bedroom, wheelchair accessible unit complete with widened halls and doorways, an expanded bathroom (roll-in shower, fixed and hand-held shower heads, grab rails, shower chair and ADA sink and toilet.) and brand-new wheelchair lift leading to the front porch.
• Beachview Dreams’ first floor unit is one of the only fully-ADA accessible vacation units in OCNJ.
• Those who rent from Beachview Dreams are renting with a purpose as 100% of the rental income goes towards giving deserving families a dream vacation.
