COURT HOUSE — Cape Regional Medical Center President & CEO, Joanne Carrocino and Tom Piratzky, Vice President/Public Relations and Marketing, delivered hundreds of school supplies to the Glenwood Avenue Elementary School on Sept. 10 in preparation of the new school year. Members of the Cape Regional Medical Center team collected over $3,200 in school supplies to support the “Lunch with Lynch” Program and the Glenwood Avenue Elementary School in Wildwood, New Jersey.
“We are very pleased to conduct a back-to-school drive each summer to support the students at Glenwood Avenue Elementary School. This marks the fifth year that Cape Regional employees, physicians and volunteers have contributed to the back-to-school drive for the benefit of the children who attend Glenwood Avenue Elementary School,” stated Joanne Carrocino. “We want to make sure that every child has the necessary school supplies for a successful start to the new school year.”
Glenwood Avenue Elementary School has one of the highest poverty rates in the state of New Jersey. Approximately 460 students attend the school that serves grades Pre K-5.
“We appreciate the support that we receive from Cape Regional Medical Center at the beginning of each school year to help with school supplies for many of our students,” stated Kenyon Kummings, Principal of the school. “Cape Regional has become a very important and valued partner at Glenwood Avenue Elementary. These school supplies will be used throughout the year to supplement many of our students and classrooms. Thank you, Cape Regional Medical Center, from the students and faculty at Glenwood Avenue Elementary School.”
