At last night’s monthly meeting of Cape Hope Cares, in Cold Springs Presbyterian Church, representative Marty Montgomery from Avalon Manor Improvement Assoc. presented a donation in the amount of $1,650 to the Board Members of Cape Hope. Cape Hope is a local outreach group that provides common necessities to the less fortunate and marginalized, while bringing future hope and stability through training, support and care. Since its founding in 1962, Avalon Manor Improvement Assoc. (A.M.I.A.) has been a unique group whose main function is to unite property owners and give the community a voice in the township. Saturday Morning Pancakes is one of their main sources of income. Portions of their yearly proceeds go to local charities like the CMC Zoo, 4-H, Vets Memorial in Vineland, Christmas Angels, etc.
